Misunderstood
There are so many times when I am trying to talk to someone and my meaning doesn't come out right. You might remember what I said (or tried to say) to dad this Easter. He just barely got some candy he threw into his mouth. It sounded like it hit his teeth really hard, so I said "Good job dad, but, next time, try to get....uh....what do you call it?....just the basket.....yeah There was a big embarrassing pause, and then all of you guys were like "Don't you mean nothing but net?", then I said something like "Yeah, that's the one, thanks." I'm sure getting stumped right in front of your whole family happens to alot of people. I was never really one for basketball, so I have a good excuse why I got that wrong. I'm pretty sure some you guys are thinking (Those games he's been playing have fried his brain!), and I'd like to remind you that your just plain WRONG. Please comment on this.

Hey Bud,
I've got to tell you that its not computer games that fry your brain--its higher education. I've been do frazzled and fried ever since I started med school! I can't tell you how many times I've been right in the middle of a sentance and suddenly forgotten what it was I was even trying to say. Not just the WORDS, the entire TOPIC. It's crazy.
Anyway, we all say things that come out wrong sometimes. It just makes for great teasing amunition for years to come!
Being absentminded all part of being brilliant, right? Some things are just too mundane to fly above the radar, like getting the right expression every single time.
The important thing is to pull it off with flair. To err with style. Don't be so worried about being wrong. I am still trying to perfect this in my life.
I am the golden child for getting tongue-tied. Especially if I am passionate about what I'm talking about, or if I'm just in a crowd. Public speaking is not my thing. Not only do I mix up words, I shake and then my voice sounds unstable... it's sad.
Since I have been demanded to comment, (insert funny comment here) ;)
